Great tool to have handy and easily accessible. Worth every penny. Our 9yr old son whom has Down Syndrome, was choking on his food. To the point he turned blue in the face. Being limited on his verbal skills it was difficult to understand him. Once we realized he was in distress we immediately applied the tool to use and worked a miracle. I never write reviews but after today I had to. We have owned this device for about 1.5 years and kept it in the kitchen just in case. Tonight my 2.5 year old choked on a hair tie and could not breathe at all. She was turning blue and I was doing the Heimlich maneuver but it was not working. Two suction passes with this device and it was out. THANK YOU ! I am immediately buying a second one for our car.

I'm not sure how well it will work if used in an emergency but my brother is a physician, and said it works. So take it as you will, a life is worth the price of the device if it could very well be beneficial to you. That being said, the reason I said it has a low value for the money is because they could sell it for a bit cheaper. It is less than a dollar to make, yet they charge what they do. I coughed it up out of necessity.

I just feel safer with this in the house. I hope I don’t have to use it but it’s there if I need it. Definitely will buy one more for the car.
